Hello Crafty Friends, and Happy Saturday. The kids and I are spending a few relaxing days over on the Oregon Coast…so nice to just sit back and not have to worry about too much for a few days. Of course, that means when I get home I will seriously have to kick my rear into gear…but alas, for now I am enjoying a little “me time”.
Today’s card is one that we will be making at this coming Friday’s, Craftastic Night. Will you be joining me? I loved how these colors came together. I used Sage, Cherry and Onyx…and just love it! I think the bit of Onyx here and there really makes the image pop! And, can I just say that I love the Poppy image from A Muse Studio’s “Friend to Friend” stamp set? This was one of my fave woodmounted images from A Muse, and I am so glad that it made it to the catalog! Another great thing about the “Friend to Friend” stamp set, is all the fabulous sentiments. I really think A Muse Studio does a fantastic job providing tons of sentiments for all of those occasions.
I stamped the background fronds, using Sage Ink, and then stamped the Poppy image with Memento Tuxedo Black. I then colored the Poppy in using my Lipstick Red and Garnet Copic Markers. Adding the Onyx Pretty Pearls to the Poppy center really made it pop. I finished the clean card off with the sweet “just saying hello” sentiment, some Onyx Gingham paper wrapped with Toffee Twine and topped with a sweet Grass Button.
Well, I hope this encourages you to get out there and do a little stamping today. Thanks so much for popping by and happy crafting!

i used various papers, rub-ons and cut-outs, from the Cherry Hill Collection. my goal was to create a girly girl journal for my sweet friend who is in over her head in testosterone day in and day out. she has been blessed with four bouncing boys, and well…i thought she could use some pretty to brighten her day. with the help of some Basic Grey Bling, some beautiful coordinating ribbons, sweet Doodlebug buttons and super fun October Afternoon Wild Cards, i was able to make something super girly, yet surprisingly functional.
